Full-Time Project Director

Reporting into the Marine & Infrastructure Division’s Operations Manager, you will assume a prominent role in delivering international marine projects.

Responsibilities:

• Apply contemporary project management practices to deliver projects from inception to completion, meeting client expectations and contractual obligations.
• Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE) policies, procedures, and local laws/regulations.
• Manage contracts, commercial aspects, and risks; accurately forecast costs and revenue, and take corrective action for timely project delivery.
• Establish and implement an effective risk management plan.
• Manage client relationships to meet customer expectations.
• Resolve project issues, referring critical or strategic issues to the Operations Manager.
• Ensure project plans include sufficient resources and materials; interact with the organization to obtain required resources.
• Authorize construction planning, programming, and completion schedules.
• Manage subcontractors, including engagement, work management, and major variations.
• Lead engineering, procurement, and construction teams to achieve project objectives.

Qualifications:

• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• Experience as Project Director (PD) on sizeable projects (>500 MUSD).
• Red FIDIC experience.
• Financial literacy.
• At least 10 years of project management experience on large-scale marine and infrastructure projects with a Tier 1 contractor.
• Portfolio including at least two successfully delivered EPC (D&C) marine and/or infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in sizeable, highly complex projects (>150 mil USD value) in marine, infrastructure, and industrial sectors (ports, jetties, breakwaters, bridges, etc.).
• Knowledge of heavy civil works (open-cut tunnels, roads, earthworks).
• Proven contract management and project budget preparation skills.
• Demonstrated track record of on-time delivery within budget and subcontractor management, focusing on contractual requirements.
• Ability to develop and administer project execution plans, including detailed construction programs.
• Commitment to QHSE and knowledge of marine construction QHSE requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Microsoft Project.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• High mobility and willingness to relocate to international project locations.
• GCC experience, with KSA being preferred.
