The Project Finance Manager will: Join the TPO vertical of the Capital Markets team. Contribute significantly to GoodLeap's strategy for funding and managing solar lease and power purchase agreement projects.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage junior team members supporting daily tasks.
- Manage and support financial model development, refinement, and implementation (tax equity/credits, warehouse debt, back leverage, etc.).
- Support investor relationship management and expansion (meetings, due diligence).
- Manage consultants (appraisers, engineers, insurance consultants, etc.) and sub-contracted services.
- Collaborate with internal and external counsel on legal documentation.
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience (project finance, structured finance, investment banking, private equity, residential solar experience a plus).
- Experience managing project finance deal processes and junior team members.
- Minimum bachelor’s (or advanced) degree.
- Expert with MS Office (especially Excel, PowerPoint; VBA a plus).
- Working proficiency with SQL; Python a plus.
- Understanding of accounting statements (balance sheet, cash flow, income statement).
- Understanding of ABS, debt, and equity financing structures.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Superb attention to detail and work ethic.
- Ability to read and interpret legal documents (a plus).
