Job Details
Project Lead reports to RAPID’s Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Works with RAPID staff to monitor and facilitate research projects with members and the broader community. Collaborates with RAPID team on a range of activities and is a key member of project teams. Acts as interface between project partners and funding agencies.
Responsibilities:
- Project management for RAPID R&D projects, including DOE award projects.
- Manages projects from initiation to close-out.
- Monitors progress, identifies risks and solutions, implements changes.
- Maintains compliance with reporting requirements.
- Coordinates technical and financial reports.
- Works with senior staff on strategic program management.
- Handles meeting logistics.
- Reviews project results and their contribution to Institute metrics.
- Collaborates with Operations and Finance teams on budgets and adherence to agreements.
- Ensures proper reporting of project milestones and financials.
- Contributes to new funding proposals.
- Drives communication and cross-fertilization across the Institute.
- Provides support in other areas (Membership, EWD, etc.).

Requirements:
- Chemical Engineering degree (graduate degree preferred).
- 2-3 years of chemical engineering work experience post-undergraduate degree.
- Experience in corporate, academic, government, or non-profit organizations.
- Expertise in process safety and environmental compliance.
Compensation: $80,000 - $100,000
