Full-Time Project Manager

We are seeking experienced Project Managers to support FEMA’s Hermit’s Peak/Calf Canyon (HPCC) Claims Office. This role provides team leadership and operational coordination across claims review, quality control, and appeals functions supporting wildfire and flood survivors in New Mexico.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Leadership & Workload Management: Provide day-to-day oversight, direction, and technical support to claims review, QC, and appeals staff.
• Claims Processing & Technical Review: Support staff reviewing Proofs of Loss (POLs), supporting documentation, valuations, and eligibility determinations.
• Quality Control & Compliance Support: Validate the accuracy and completeness of casework before submission to government reviewers.
• Appeals Support: Oversee team members preparing administrative appeal reviews, including document assembly, bulleted analyses, and in-depth written memorandums.
• Coordination & Communication: Communicate effectively with FEMA counterparts, claimants, navigators, SMEs, and internal teams.
• Reporting & Documentation: Track team metrics, deliverables, and productivity requirements.

Experience:

• 1 - 10 years of combined experience in claims or case processing, customer service, reviewing disaster-related losses and documentation, data entry, eligibility review, valuation, and benefits analysis.
• Team lead or supervisory experience in a case-processing environment
• FEMA, disaster assistance, insurance adjusting, or federal claims processing experience preferred

Skills:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Experience with claims or case management systems
• Strong documentation, organizational, and analytical skills

Work may include remote and on-site support. Travel may be required to FEMA field offices and claimant locations within: San Miguel, Mora, Santa Fe, Taos, Sandoval, Rio Arriba, Colfax, and surrounding New Mexico counties.

This position is contingent upon contract award.
