Role Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Define project scope, objectives, and timelines, aligning with client goals and organizational priorities.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
- Ensure milestone and project task forecasting is up-to-date, and timecards are accurately recorded.
- Manage time effectively with customer scheduling and spending appropriate time in preparation and follow-up.
- Maintain detailed project documentation (timelines, progress reports, risk management plans).
Team & Resource Management
- Manage and track team workloads, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Identify areas needing additional support, training, or consulting, and effectively refer to Sales, Services, or CSM teams.
Stakeholder Communication & Client Relations
- Assume the role of a customer’s trusted advisor regarding implementation and best practices.
- Lead project meetings, engaging key stakeholders and facilitating communication between internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders.
- Maintain positive client relationships, understanding their needs and ensuring project milestones are met.
- Provide regular status updates to clients and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication.
Issue Resolution & Risk Management
- Act as the primary point of contact for project-related issues.
- Identify potential risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
- Troubleshoot and resolve project issues, minimizing disruption to timelines and deliverables.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., communication, education, IT).
- 3+ years of experience with project management in an enterprise software environment (preferably SaaS).
- Project management qualification (e.g., Agile PM, CAPM, PMP, PRINCE2).
- Demonstrated track record of successfully leading projects across multiple products (often concurrently).
- Impeccable attention to detail with excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation).
- Experience working with remote/distributed teams; travel and out-of-hours work may be required.
- Proven ability to work effectively, independently, and in a team-based environment.
- ITIL certification.
- Knowledge of the education technology industry.
- Project management experience in Australia or New Zealand.
