Ember is seeking a strategic and collaborative Project Manager. This role will focus on building tools, systems, and processes that empower our teams to manage projects effectively and consistently.
You will be central to driving effective cross-team collaboration across policy, data, communications, and operations.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop and embed consistent project management approaches.
- Provide training and resources to build internal capacity.
- Support teams to deliver high-quality outputs.
- Identify and implement opportunities for streamlining project delivery.
- Lead the project management of key flagship reports.
- Monitor and report on project progress.
- Coordinate the involvement of the Project Advisory Board.
- Coordinate the involvement of third parties.
- Use emotional intelligence and leadership skills to persuade team members.
- Monitor how projects are running across the organisation.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of projects and outputs.
Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience in project management in a research or policy context.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience supporting others to deliver work effectively.
- Familiarity with tools for automating workflows.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Interpersonal skills to drive effective collaboration.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Nice to have:
- Passion for addressing climate change and promoting the transition to clean energy.
- Experience project managing the publication of reports/publications.
- Experience with selecting and setting up project management software.
- Experience with productivity improvement with AI tools.
