Full-Time Project Manager, Engineering & Construction

Brightspeed is seeking a Project Manager, Fiber Engineering and Construction to join our team. This role is part of the Engineering & Construction Fiber Build team.

Responsibilities include:

• Developing and monitoring engineering and construction build plans across various network types.
• Coordinating and creating work schedules for on-time delivery (internal workforce and vendors).
• Tracking milestones for complex projects across multiple lines of business.
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations.
• Ensuring projects meet network readiness dates within budget via vendor performance management.
• Utilizing Cost Per Premise Modeling during design and revision phases.
• Driving actionable data analysis with partner groups (IT, Business, Vendors).
• Providing technical oversight to OSP build and Operations teams.
• Removing network build roadblocks (permitting, contractual interpretation).
• Collaborating with network and business leadership to design future state processes.
• Analyzing, capturing, and interpreting GIS and IQGeo data.
• Communicating training, job aids, and procedures to stakeholders.
• Creating and maintaining IT enhancement requirements for fiber design and build.
• Performing User Acceptance Technical Testing and periodic Quality Inspections.
• Willingness to travel periodically.

Qualifications include:

• 10+ years of Telecommunication experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Engineering.
• Project Manager Certification.
• Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, SmartSheets, Confluence, JIRA, Service Now).
• Experience with Telcom Network Design systems (IQGeo, GIS, SmallWorld).
• Experience with Telcom Facility Record Management tools.
• Usability and understanding of data visualization tools (PowerBI, Power Apps).
• Vendor & Contract Administration.
• Usability and understanding of financial systems (Ariba, SAP).
• Ability to create complex Methods & Procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel), Adobe, and related systems.
• Data analysis skills for strategic business decisions.
• Ability to build cohesive relationships with multiple departments.
