AECOM is seeking a Project Manager for Federal environmental remediation projects.
The position may be located in the Chelmsford, MA or Providence, RI AECOM office.
Other responsibilities include:
- Project invoicing and cash flow management
- Managing and directing professional/technical staff for complex environmental projects
- Leading teams using scientific principles, theories, and practices
- Developing technical solutions to complex problems using existing technologies
- Interpreting and recording data, analyzing findings, and ensuring compliance with regulations
- Analyzing financial statements and tracking budgets
- Performing work with minimal direction and periodic reporting to area manager
- Preparing work plans and organizing project studies
- Performing complex assignments, often requiring unique solutions, supported by the project team
- Supervising junior/mid-level staff throughout project phases
- Conducting reviews and providing staff feedback for improvement
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with + 4 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency
- Background check required
- U.S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional License (PE, PG)
- 10+ years' experience in environmental remediation (soil, water, sediment, PFAS, munitions) project management
- Master's degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related degree
- Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations
- Experience managing environmental projects for Federal clients (USACE, AFCEC, Navy)
- Thorough knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience in team management and scheduling
- Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders
- Interest in business development
- Experience leading teams in Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies
Occasional overnight travel may be required.
