Job Details
AECOM is seeking a Project Manager in Omaha, NE, to support the Environmental business line, primarily overseeing Federal environmental remediation projects. This position may be remote.
Responsibilities:
- Familiar with project invoicing and cash flow management
- Manages and directs professional and technical staff to complete complex environmental projects
- Leads teams by utilizing advanced scientific principles, theories, and practices
- Utilizes existing technologies and experience to develop technical solutions to complex problems
- Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and regulations to ensure compliance
- Analyzes financial statements and completes budget tracking
- Oversees the preparation of work plans and organizes project studies
- Performs complex assignments requiring unique solutions
- Supervises junior and mid-level staff
- Conducts reviews and provides staff feedback
Minimum Requirements:
BA/BS in Geology, Engineering, or related field with + 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency. Valid US Drivers License. Due to the nature of the work U.S. Citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional License (PE, PG, PMP, CHMM, or similar)
- 10+ years’ experience in environmental remediation project management
- Master’s degree in Geology, Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering, or related field
- Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations
- Experience managing environmental projects for Federal clients
- Thorough working knowledge of RCRA and CERCLA
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources
- Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills
- Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders
- Interest in business development
- Led teams in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, Treatability Studies, Remedial Design, and Remedial Action Construction
- Occasional overnight travel required
