Full-Time Project Manager, Fiber Engineering

Brightspeed is looking for a Project Manager, Fiber Engineering and Construction to join our team! This position will be part of the Engineering & Construction Fiber Build team.

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of engineering projects, network design, construction scheduling & implementation and asset management.

The Fiber Build program is diverse, ranging from Fiber Overbuild & Subsidy deployment, Vendor oversight, Build Milestone & Schedule management, Right of Way, Joint Use, permitting, process development, training & communication and compliance to process.

This position will be a critical part of the Engineering and Construction team that will collaboratively manage complex and long-duration projects.

Responsibilities include:

1. Developing and monitoring engineering and construction build plans across various network types
2. Coordinating & creating work schedules to ensure on-time delivery for internal workforce and contracted vendors
3. Tracking milestone activities for complex projects/programs across multiple lines of business
4. Ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations
5. Ensuring projects meet network readiness dates within budget allotments via vendor performance management
6. Utilizing Cost Per Premise Modeling during design and revision phases
7. Driving and facilitating actionable data analysis with partner groups (IT, Business, and Vendors)
8. Providing technical oversight and support to OSP build and Operations teams
9. Supporting removal of network build roadblocks associated with permitting, contractual interpretation
10. Collaborating with network leadership and business domain leadership to design and implement future state processes
11. Analyzing, capturing, and interpreting GIS and related IQGeo data
12. Communicating Training, Job Aids, Methods & Procedures to numerous stakeholders
13. Creating and maintaining IT enhancement requirements for fiber design and build organization
14. Performing User Acceptance Technical Testing
15. Performing periodic Quality Inspections on the Fiber Build
16. Willingness to travel periodically

Qualifications:

• 10+ years Telecommunication experience
• Bachelor's degree, Engineering degree or equivalent practical work experience
• Project Manager Certification
• Proficiency in standard PM tools (MS Project, SmartSheets, Confluence, JIRA, Service Now)
• Experience with Telcom Network Design systems (IQGeo, GIS, SmallWorld)
• Experience with Telcom Facility Record Management tools (O2, BOSS, AMS)
• Usability & understanding of data visualization tools (PowerBI, Power Apps)
• Vendor & Contract Administration
• Usability & understanding of financial systems (Ariba, SAP, Accounts Payable)
• Ability to create complex Methods & Procedures
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Expert knowledge in Microsoft (PowerPoint & Excel), Adobe, and related systems
• Ability to analyze data to drive strategic business decisions
• Ability to build cohesive relationships with multiple departments
