Job Summary: Project Manager I to join the Client Services team in Dayton, NJ laboratory. The Project Manager I is a key member of the Client Services Team, serving as a client advocate and laboratory liaison. Builds strong working relationships with clients and technical staff. Guides projects from initial contact to final deliverables and invoicing. Manages a dedicated portfolio of clients with lower complexities. Develops knowledge of ongoing project work within functional group. Trains and delegates tasks to Project Manager Assistants.
Responsibilities:
- Acts as primary contact/client services representative for dedicated clients.
- Assists clients with project setup (quote, supplies, samples, data, invoicing).
- Fosters collaborative relationships with clients, laboratory, and sales team.
- Acts as client liaison to laboratory to ensure project success within TAT deadlines.
- Maintains accurate project management of all accounts.
- Monitors project status and provides regular updates to client, lab, and sales team.
- Understands project rationale, regulations, client/lab methods.
- Documents and executes client requests (orders, tracking, LIMS, change orders).
- Reviews project data and invoicing for accuracy.
- Participates in client meetings.
- Promotes positive working atmosphere and represents SGS positively.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or equivalent industry experience + 1-2 years related experience in sciences/customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in related science field + 2-3 years Project Manager Assistant experience (preferred)
- Strong communication (oral/written), self-initiative, resourcefulness.
- Proficiency in English and advanced mathematical/reasoning/computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 lbs.
