Full-Time Project Manager I

Note: This is a HYBRID opportunity. Work onsite as needed.

Our Scott, LA laboratory is seeking a Project Manager I to join their Client Services team!

Project Manager I Responsibilities:

• Serves as client advocate and laboratory liaison.
• Builds strong relationships with clients and technical staff.
• Guides projects from initial contact (quote, kits) through lab analysis, to final deliverables and invoicing.
• Manages a dedicated portfolio of clients with lower complexity.
• Familiarizes with project complexities and assists the Client Services team.
• Trains and delegates tasks to Project Manager Assistants.
• Acts as the primary client contact for assigned accounts.
• Assists clients with all project aspects (quote, supplies, samples, reporting, invoicing).
• Fosters collaboration with clients, lab operations, and sales.
• Conducts staff and client meetings to relay project information.
• Ensures project execution aligns with client and lab interests.
• Keeps project accounts managed and accurate.
• Monitors project status and provides updates to clients, lab, and sales.
• Understands project rationale, regulations, client/lab methods.
• Documents and executes client requests (orders, tracking, LIMS, changes).
• Reviews project data and invoicing for accuracy.
• Participates in offsite/virtual meetings (as needed).
• Promotes positive working atmosphere and represents SGS positively.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree or equivalent experience in science/customer service (1-2 years).
• Bachelor's degree in relevant science field (preferred) + 2-3 years as Project Manager Assistant.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Self-initiative and resourcefulness.
• Advanced English skills.
• Strong mathematical, reasoning, and computer skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 25 lbs (occasionally).
