Job Summary:
The IT Application Development Transition Manager will be responsible for overseeing the transition of application development projects, ensuring seamless integration and delivery. This role requires extensive experience in vendor management, previous transition management experience, and strong project management and delivery skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the transition of application development projects from initiation to completion.
Collaborate with vendors to ensure alignment with project goals and timelines.
Develop and implement transition plans, including risk management and mitigation strategies.
Coordinate with various departments, including IT, Infosec and PMO, to ensure successful project delivery.
Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with governance processes and standards.
Manage project budgets and resources effectively.
Identify and resolve issues that may arise during the transition process.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in IT application development and transition management.
Strong vendor management skills, with the ability to negotiate and manage vendor contracts.
Extensive project management experience, with a track record of successful project delivery.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Knowledge of governance processes and standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
Experience in the healthcare industry or similar regulated environments.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
