Full-Time Proposal Engineer

We are seeking a talented Proposal Engineer to join our team specializing in innovative water treatment solutions across Europe.

Based in our European Service Centre in Peterborough, UK, we deliver cutting-edge water treatment projects using our advanced fleet of mobile and containerised plants.

Key Responsibilities:

• Creating technically and commercially compliant proposals
• Developing technical documents (Process Description, PFD, P&ID)
• Contract review and negotiation
• Experience in Ion exchange, membrane (Ultrafiltration, Reverse Osmosis) and wastewater (DAF) technologies
• Cost evaluation and pricing of projects (installation, commissioning, consumables)
• Risk identification and mitigation with focus on HSE

Requirements:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in mechanical, chemical or environmental engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience in water/wastewater treatment
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a matrix organization
• Experience in bid management and customer presentations

Main Tasks:

• Lead project opportunities from inquiry to order
• Assist the Sales team with initial lead qualification
• Develop opportunities through technical and commercial guidance
• Process design development
• Cost model evaluation and pricing
• Creation of Customer-facing proposals
• Identification of technical improvements
• System audits

• Ability to develop detailed technical documentation

• Strong presentation and communication abilities

Essential Requirements:

• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering
• 3+ years' proven track record in water/wastewater operations, engineering or bid management
• Industrial sector experience highly valued
• Background in application engineering, bid management or business development is advantageous

Preferred Skills:

• Strong understanding of water treatment services
• Commercial acumen, including contract law and financial principles
• Experience with water/ wastewater outsourcing contracts
• Outstanding English communication skills (written and verbal)
• Additional European languages (French, Italian, German or Dutch)
• Flexibility to travel within the UK and EU
