We are seeking a highly skilled Python Developer to join our team and work on government projects. The ideal candidate will have experience developing robust, scalable applications in a secure and highly regulated environment. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing efficient algorithms, and implementing solutions that adhere to federal compliance and security standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications for federal projects.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, project managers, and other team members to gather requirements and deliver quality solutions.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Design and optimize algorithms to solve complex problems.
- Ensure application security and compliance with federal regulations (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP).
- Integrate Python applications with third-party systems and APIs.
- Participate in code reviews and ensure best practices are followed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments.
- Work with DevOps teams to deploy applications using CI/CD pipelines.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 4 - 12 years of experience in Python development.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming and Python libraries.
- Experience working on federal government projects or with agencies. Desirable, but not mandatory
- Knowledge of federal compliance standards (e.g., FISMA, FedRAMP, NIST frameworks). Desirable, but not mandatory
- Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
- Familiarity with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
- Experience in developing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- U.S. Citizenship is required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in public sector projects or government contracting.
- Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) for full-stack development.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum development environments.
- Security certifications like CISSP, Security+, or similar.
