Full-Time Release Engineer

Release Engineer at Orion Innovation.

Responsibilities:

• Support and improve tools for continuous build, automated testing, and release management.
• Support multiple infrastructure environments (development, staging, QA).
• Enhance production-like environment for integrated product reliability, observability, and maintainability.
• Evaluate and improve CI/CD/Test pipelines and processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and design solutions.
• Assist in organizing technical roadmaps into achievable work.
• Understand and identify bottleneck areas in the build process for improvement.
• Help delivery teams develop strategies for code deployment.
• Understand and communicate customer priorities in solution deployments.
• Influence others and support ideas proactively.
• Identify and remove project obstacles.
• Innovate and integrate new processes/technologies to add value.
• Assess the cost of change against benefits and advise accordingly.
• Own integrated product solutions, aligning with product management and customer expectations.
• Guide new teams on Agile adoption and continuous improvement.
• Lead impact assessments and technology selections for build and release engineering.
• Troubleshoot and debug build issues quickly.
• Facilitate and coach software engineering teams on estimation and alternative approaches.
• Embrace new methods and practices to increase efficiency.
• Design, develop, and maintain tooling for cloud-based CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft Azure PowerShell and Automation
• Azure Certified Data engineering
• SQL Server, Databricks, PySpark
• Agile methodologies, daily scrums participation
• Leadership and problem-solving skills
• Scripting and debugging skills
• Demonstrated follow-through from concept to rollout
• Dedication to continuous integration and calibration
• Collaboration with teams and clients
