PURPOSE: This position provides primary support for ABAP programming to meet client needs, leads development solutions, liaises with offshore teams, and collaborates with HQ to enhance/implement best practices. The SAP ABAP Developer is accountable for ERP project and enhancement assessment and execution, including service delivery on the CBU's SAP ERP instance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Deliver quality products as an ABAP technical lead and lead ABAP projects.
- Provide programming solutions to various SAP functional areas.
- Respond to SAP ABAP production issues and research problem causes.
- Propose and test corrective action with user departments.
- Collaborate with functional consultants for integration tests.
- Perform routine duties for regular tasks, maintaining records, reports, system addresses (ABAP perspective).
- Perform other duties as required.

STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT:
- Helps businesses implement technology solutions cost-effectively by defining project requirements and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators, and partners.
- Works with management and end users to improve or re-engineer processes for higher efficiency.
Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 (DOE)/yr.
Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent.
Related Work Experience:
- 3+ years IT experience
- 3+ years solving business problems with technology, preferably in Automotive or Manufacturing
- Hands-on ABAP programming experience is a must
- Ability to set expectations, explain and champion technical concepts
- Ability to translate details into specific tasks
- Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills
- Ability to interact with diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matter experts
- Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment
- Strong negotiation/persuasion and analytical skills
- Strong system troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Broad knowledge of programming techniques (dialog programming, BDC, SAP Script, Smart Forms)
- In-depth knowledge of SAP systems and modules (PP/MM/SD/FI/CO/HR/BW)
- S/4 Hana knowledge is a plus
Certifications: SAP ABAP certification preferred.
