Senior A&E Construction Quality Monitor

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and deliver capital investment projects with Associate or Project Director.
• Lead and manage teams on technically complex projects.
• Develop collaborative relationships with clients and team members.
• Engage Tier 1 and Tier 2 Main Contractors, understanding site processes, project programs, and inspection plans.
• Possess Senior Project Manager attributes and acute technical construction awareness.
• Act as day-to-day client point of contact, with a knowledgeable and proactive approach.
• Monitor and update projects using the AECOM Project Execution Plan (PEP).
• Ensure compliance with AECOM policies for project management.
• Lead projects by engaging with parties, delivering AECOM's PPP projects.
• Maintain AECOM service delivery to the highest quality and proactively manage projects.
• Manage and mentor junior team members.
• Have knowledge of the BCAR process on major projects and terminology/roles for Assigned Certifier (AC) role (previous AC support is a plus).
• Understand the Building Control Act (2014) and prepare inspection plans for projects eligible for BCAR process.
• Be familiar with design, detail, construction drawings, detailed design/construction issues, and the as-built cycle on live construction projects.
• Have experience in design and build projects.
• Understand project governance and procurement processes.
• Develop long-term relationships with team members and balance people and processes.
• Manage internal resources, including training and mentoring of junior staff.
• Possess experience with compliance assessments, Technical Guidance Documents, and Building Regulations.
• Possess strong business acumen and support Director/Associate in achieving commercial targets.
• Have CAD, Excel, presentation, Word, and reporting writing skills.
• Possess good IT skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, MS Teams, and MS SharePoint.
• Use tablets for site inspection reporting.
