Innovate with Machine Learning to Enhance Wolt's 70 Million Product Data Items
Our Applied Scientists design and deploy machine learning solutions tackling complex business challenges across Wolt's platform.
As an Applied Scientist, you'll own use cases within a product development team, from identifying high-value opportunities to developing, prototyping, deploying, and ensuring continuous improvement in production.
We use technologies like Python, SQL, Flyte, MLflow, and Seldon Core. We collaborate with data engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts to develop algorithms and data-driven solutions enhancing product data.
This includes refining the accuracy, completeness, and structure of over 70 million product listings, encompassing item names, descriptions, categories, and attributes. You'll build machine learning and generative AI models for high-quality, well-classified product data, empowering Wolt merchants and improving key use cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deploy machine learning models.

Skills & Requirements:
- Passion for Applied Science: Problem-solving skills using data science and machine learning.
- Expertise in Production-Ready ML Solutions: Experience building robust, scalable models for large-scale deployments, managing the entire project lifecycle.
- Strong Foundations in ML, Statistics, and NLP: Solid educational background and practical skills in these areas.
- Engineering Excellence: Skilled in writing production-level code and following engineering best practices.
- Clear Communication: Effectively communicate complex technical concepts.
- Analytical Problem-Solving: Breaking down complex challenges into solvable machine learning problems.
Location: Helsinki, Berlin, Stockholm, or remote in Finland, Sweden, or Germany.
