Full-Time Senior Building Consultant

We are seeking a Senior Building Consultant to join our Building Consulting team in Columbus, OH.

This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional project managers and estimators.

The ideal candidate possesses:

• 5+ years of estimating experience
• Work experience in restoration, insurance, and remediation
• Responsibilities for estimating large commercial and/or residential complex losses
• Strong experience in the construction industry

Job Responsibilities:

• Interfaces with clients and project representatives
• Schedules and performs field inspections
• Estimates medium to large commercial and residential projects using estimating software (e.g., Xactimate, Symbility, RS Means)
• Documents and analyzes project-related materials
• Provides technical direction to other consultants
• Collaborates with Business Development Managers
• Demonstrable experience in the restoration industry
• Proficiency in estimating software, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Valid driver's license and good driving record
• Strong project management, analysis, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and be detail-oriented
• Strong independent work ethic and leadership skills
• Exceptional customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's or associate degree
• IICRC related degrees, credentials, or certifications
• RRC, PMP, and other certifications

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications:

• Ability to wear personal protective equipment
• Physically able to conduct inspections and carry equipment
• Able to climb ladders
• Must be able to write reports
• May be exposed to UV radiation, radon, or other forms of air pollution
• Must be able to be on call or work weekends or nights
• Willingness to travel
