We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to serve as Project Manager and oversee government-funded scientific development programs.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing complex projects, ensuring timely completion, staying within scope and budget, and supporting new business efforts.
Responsibilities:
- Lead day-to-day management of US Government funded projects, including planning meetings, recording minutes, and reporting to clients.
- Manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards and deadlines.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams for seamless project execution.
- Serve as primary point of contact for USG clients, building strong relationships.
- Conduct regular client meetings for project updates, concerns, and feedback.
- Ensure client satisfaction through high-quality work and exceeding expectations.
- Develop strategic plans to achieve project goals.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Provide expert advice based on industry best practices and regulations.
- Monitor and report project performance.
- Mentor and guide junior consultants.
- Prepare and present reports to clients.
- Adhere to LBG quality standards.
- Identify and sell new engagements (commercial, government, non-profit).
- Support the drafting of proposals and engagement documents.
- Manage existing and potential client relationships.
- Support sales and marketing activities.
- Create internal tools, systems, methods, and materials.
- Create and deliver publications and presentations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7-10 years project management experience in a government-funded environment.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with government regulations.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- PMP certification preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Knowledge of the biotechnology product development process.
