This role supports providing project management services to life sciences companies and institutions to advance products (therapeutics, vaccines, diagnostics, devices), primarily in public health, infectious diseases, and chemical/biological/radiological/nuclear defense threats.
Responsibilities
- Provide consulting services to LBG's clients, including strategic oversight to maintain alignment of project milestones, and content/quality/distribution of project management deliverables (reports, dashboards, etc.).
- Routinely update project schedule, budget, and risks; final review.
- Establish strong relationships with leadership and project teams.
- Serve as project spokesperson and facilitate communications with internal/external stakeholders.
- Work with cross-functional teams (CMC, Med. Affairs/Clinical, Nonclinical, Quality, Regulatory, Finance, Legal, Contracts Management) to drive program activities on schedule/scope/budget.
- Manage project financials (vendor invoice review/approval, budget development, actuals tracking, financial forecasting, reports for internal/external stakeholders).
- Proactively manage strategic risks and issues, implementing mitigation activities.
- Demonstrate and foster teamwork, navigating different areas and working with multidisciplinary teams.
- Balance project demands to align/realign budget, quality, timeline, and scope as needed.
- Lead product development meetings, ensuring all project/sub-team leaders have necessary information and support.
- Focus on customer service with agility and clear communication.
- Drive strategic planning for discipline.
- Adhere to LBG quality standards.
Experience Requirements
- At least 10 years in Life Sciences, with 5+ years project management experience
- 2+ years managing US Government-funded programs
- Experience with project financial management (budget development, tracking, forecasting, reporting)
- Experience managing projects and understanding project management principles
- Project management skills, including successful delivery on schedule/budget.
- Fluency in MS Project (or similar), Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively.
- Flexibility and ambiguity tolerance
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycle and pharmaceutical manufacturing operations
- Strong understanding of cGXP guidelines and FDA regulatory requirements
Skills and Certifications
- Certified PMP and/or Master's related to Project Management or Business disciplines.
- BS in Biology, Chemistry, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
