Full-Time Senior Data Scientist - Affirmative Action for Black People

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our Risk Management team in the Agribusiness sector.

Responsibilities:

• Develop risk models to optimize credit analysis and lending capacity in Agribusiness.
• Apply best data science practices, including data cleaning and preparation, attribute creation, model adjustment, and performance evaluation.
• Document all development stages, from research to final implementation, and communicate model results clearly and actionable to various stakeholders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand needs and provide effective solutions.
• Participate in sales activities, including analysis and backtests.
• Conduct presentations and collect feedback from internal and external clients.

Requirements:

• Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, or related fields.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Jupyter, etc.
• Knowledge of Machine Learning and Data Science methods, such as supervised learning (regression and classification), unsupervised learning (clustering, dimensionality reduction), and learning algorithms like Boosting, Random Forest, KNN, Neural Networks, etc.
• Experience in risk modeling.
• Handling of large data volumes and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git and Bitbucket.
• Excellent communication skills to present technical results clearly and persuasively.
• Adaptability and rapid learning.

Preferred/Differentials:

• Academic or professional experience in Agribusiness.
• Master's level research experience.
• Experience with software engineering and Machine Learning engineering.
• Experience working in agile and collaborative environments, focused on continuous value delivery.
• Knowledge of other programming languages like R, SQL, Scala, and Java.
• Knowledge of Hadoop, Spark/Pyspark, Polars, etc.
• Cloud environment experience (preferably AWS).
