Full-Time Senior Data Scientist

We are looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Risk Management team in the Agribusiness sector.

The professional will work in a data science team focused on developing models and attributes with a specific focus on analytical solutions for optimization and innovation in agribusiness.

1. Develop risk models that optimize the ability to analyze and grant credit in Agribusiness.
2. Apply best data science practices, including data cleaning and preparation, attribute creation, model adjustment, and performance evaluation.
3. Document all development steps, from research to final implementation, as well as clearly and actionable communicate the results of the models to different stakeholders.
4. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to understand needs and provide effective solutions.
5. Perform sales-related activities, such as analysis and backtesting.
6. Make presentations and collect feedback from internal and external clients.

We are looking for someone with:

• Degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science or related areas.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with libraries such as Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, Seaborn, Jupyter, etc.
• Knowledge in Machine Learning and Data Science methods, such as supervised learning (regression and classification), unsupervised learning (clustering, dimensionality reduction), and algorithms like Boosting, Random Forest, KNN, Neural Networks, etc.
• Experience in risk modeling.
• Handling large data volumes and statistical analysis.
• Familiarity with version control tools like Git and Bitbucket to manage and collaborate on code projects.
• Communication skills to present technical results clearly and convincingly.
• Adaptability and learning agility.

Desirable and/or Differential:

• Academic or professional experience in Agribusiness.
• Master's level research experience.
• Experience with software engineering and Machine Learning engineering.
• Experience working in agile and collaborative environments, focused on continuous value delivery.
• Knowledge in other programming languages such as R, SQL, Scala, and Java.
• Knowledge in Hadoop, Spark/Pyspark, Polars, etc.
• Knowledge in Cloud environment (preferably AWS).
