About the Role:
The Senior Data Scientist role blends research leadership, machine learning engineering, and solutions architecture.
Key Accountabilities
- Propose and develop AI-powered solutions for SEEK Pass document verification.
- Design and conduct evaluations to compare AI product features.
- Lead team efforts to deliver AI projects aligned with business priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Strategy, Product, Operations, etc.) to solve business challenges.
- Research, build, and maintain integrated AI solutions.
- Collaborate with teams in Asia Pacific and strengthen secure coding practices.
- Develop data-driven problem statements from business challenges.
- Build data transformation pipelines and machine learning algorithms.
- Collaborate with product management and other business partners on data products.
- Support team members with effective communication and mentoring.
- Actively seek learning opportunities and contribute to the data science community.
Qualifications
- Essential Skills: Extensive experience with Computer Vision, MSc or PhD in Computer Science, 6+ years of experience in Data Science, proficiency in Python, Go, Scala, C/C++, or Java, strong foundation in algorithms, machine learning, and computer vision.
- Desirable Skills: Data exploration for proofs-of-concept, presenting results to diverse audiences, data-driven decision making, using Computer Vision libraries (e.g., OpenCV, YOLO), relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL), AWS services, distributed processing frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark), containerization tools (e.g., Docker), deployment tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform), familiarity with Computer Vision, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and optimization techniques.
