Full-Time Senior Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team.

Responsibilities

1. Install, maintain, and troubleshoot RHEL/OEL OS supporting Oracle databases in physical and virtualized environments.
2. Provide DBA services to application development, professional services, and support teams, including database design, query validation/execution, and performance tuning.
3. Troubleshoot database alerts, logs, jobs, disk groups, tablespaces, and resolve performance-related issues.
4. Automate database tasks and develop scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
5. Lead the design and implementation of database infrastructure solutions.
6. Manage the implementation of technical controls to enforce security policies.
7. Ensure compliance with SOC2/ISO27001 audits.
8. Design, implement, and maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) methodologies.
9. Design, implement, and maintain DR methodologies, ensuring documentation is up to date.
10. Periodically validate Oracle 19c backup/recovery operations using RMAN.
11. Assume responsibility for documenting and maintaining disaster recovery plans for each supported system.
12. Research, evaluate, design, test, and recommend new database software versions and related tools.
13. Act as a mentor for junior DBAs and provide technical guidance.
14. Assist development teams in improving database design and PL/SQL best practices.
15. Provide 24/7 on-call rotational support, including occasional weekend coverage.
16. Familiarity with monitoring tools like DataDog, Solarwinds, site24/7 or OEM.

Experience Requirements

• 10+ years of experience with Oracle 19c+ administration.
• 3+ years of experience with MS SQL 2012+ and PostgreSQL.
• Strong expertise in PL/SQL coding, debugging, and query optimization.
• Hands-on experience with performance monitoring and tuning tools.
• Proficiency in Linux system administration and bash scripting.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud, Azure SQL, and PowerShell scripting.
• Strong knowledge of infrastructure design, security best practices, and compliance.
• Experience with high-availability database solutions (clustering, replication, failover strategies).
