Contractor Senior Developer

Job Description:

• Provide technical development and support for a key critical financial data integration and reporting environment that is used to forecast sales, performance and metrics around an upcoming Special Event.
• It also reports out actual results running complex analytical models. This process take Financial data and performs complex calculations to derive an answer set that is then reported out to executives. SSIS is used to report out the results.
• Requires expertise "hands-on Data integration SSIS (ETL) knowledge and skills in order to support the data flows that get the financial information from sources systems.
• Need to be able to develop reporting using SSRS. Coordinate the necessary operations documentation and standards required for compliance and identified best practices and KT to other internal team members.
• Ensure processes perform in required time to deliver the daily reporting on time.
• Engage in effective conversations with the business partners to gather requirements and get their feedback on work produced.
• Able to solve problems with limited assistance.
• Facilitate and lead meetings with end users.
• Keeps management, team members and business stakeholders informed of critical issues, status, changes, etc.

Skillset / Experience:

• 7+ years of demonstrated experience working as part of large Information Technology teams and/or consulting organizations partnering with clients/business groups to support complex financial data environment.
• Proven hands-on experience as a software engineer with expertise and focus on one or more technologies inclusive of NodeJS, TypeScript, JavaScript, ExpressJS.
• Experience in Mocha, CouchDB, Redis, Kafka, Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Expertise with REST, Node.JS, NoSQL, SQL, eventing patterns and microservices.
• Proven technical expertise in MS SQL, SSIS, SSRS and Visual Studio tools with TFS integration developing in a data warehouse environment
• Previous experience as an ETL developer with strong data architecture knowledge around data warehousing concepts
• SQL development and optimization, and operational support models.
• Experience with one or more databases such as SQL Server, DB2, Oracle etc.
• Strong SQL knowledge; able to write and read as well as diagnose non performing complex SQL.
• Knowledge of indexing and explain plans.
