Senior DevOps Developer, Tooling and Operations
ActiveState delivers Intelligent Remediation for vulnerability management, enabling DevSecOps teams to identify vulnerabilities, prioritize, remediate, and deploy fixes without breaking changes.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Building a highly scalable, 100% automated build system for multiple languages and platforms. Creating microservice APIs for other teams.
Resolving dependencies for open source languages and libraries.
Implementing, maintaining, and improving systems and services for platform productivity.
Automating cloud deployments, improving security and monitoring of applications running in Kubernetes, Nomad, and other cluster systems.
Helping build open source software securely and repeatedly.
Developing tools for developers, administering, securing, and automating cloud deployment environments.
Debugging, and anticipating/avoiding potential problems.
Collaborating with developers, QA, sales, and marketing teams.
Mentoring and supporting team members.
Key Responsibilities
Operations mindset: maintaining systems.
Maintaining complex software systems, designing applications and components.
Creating tools for other developers or administering/securing/automating cloud deployment environments.
Problem-solving, debugging, and preventing problems.
Proficiency in at least one programming language.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Defining work through conversations with product management and engineering teams.
Helping team members improve.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
DevOps tooling, automation, or application development with Golang.
Security Operations Center experience.
SRE and Chaos Engineering.
Agile processes, CI/CD, code review, etc.
IT automation frameworks (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
Microservices, message queues, and workflow orchestration systems (Airflow, Argo).
Docker, Nomad, and Kubernetes in cloud environments.
Golang, Perl, Python, Javascript, Ruby, or Tcl development experience.
