About the Role As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will design and deliver scalable SaaS solutions on Microsoft Azure and Amazon AWS. Your focus will be optimizing CI/CD pipelines, implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and Ansible, and automating software and hardware release processes. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, troubleshoot issues, and mentor junior team members. You will lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance system reliability, scalability, and security, while maintaining comprehensive documentation and facilitating knowledge-sharing.
Specific Responsibilities
- Architect and deliver scalable SaaS solutions using Microsoft Azure and AWS.
- Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines for seamless software delivery.
- Leverage IaC tools like Terraform, Ansible, and Git for scalable infrastructure.
- Manage and optimize Jenkins within the CI/CD pipeline.
- Develop and maintain tools supporting automated hardware/software releases.
- Troubleshoot complex system issues.
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, and Engineering Leads to improve distributed systems.
- Maintain up-to-date system, process, and configuration documentation.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to boost system reliability, scalability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Mentor junior team members and share knowledge.
- Identify and address system gaps and strategize process improvements.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 7+ years of strategic DevOps experience, including cloud infrastructure optimization.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure, Windows, Linux, and Git.
- Proven expertise in IaC frameworks (Terraform, Ansible).
- Proficiency configuring, optimizing, and utilizing Jenkins.
- Strong security commitment, including OWASP guideline enforcement in SaaS environments.
- Proficiency in SRE best practices for Azure-based SaaS.
- Experience designing and managing secure network architectures.
- Proven ability to lead incident response.
- Track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python.
- Advanced knowledge of monitoring tools like Datadog.
- Expertise across diverse tech stacks.
- Familiarity with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence), Slack, and technical project management.
- AWS Accela experience (preferred).
