Full-Time Senior DevOps Engineer

Seeking a skilled and motivated Senior DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team at Arine Inc.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure as code deployments for scalability, security, and reliability of cloud-based applications.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to automate workflows and improve system performance.
• Support, maintain, and develop software using AWS stacks, Jenkins CI/CD, JavaScript. Lead the evolution of our CI/CD pipeline, branching, and release strategies.
• Support automated testing.
• Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, reliable AWS cloud infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation).
• Monitor and manage EC2 instances and other services (RDS, ECS) for optimal performance, scalability, and availability.
• Manage auto-scaling to handle varying workloads.
• Optimize cloud resources for cost-effectiveness and performance.
• Deploying, Automating and Maintaining releases using release/change management process.
• Building, releasing, and managing production systems, and troubleshooting system issues.
• Administration, Deployment, Automation and management of Jenkins.
• Collaborate with onshore, offshore, and nearshore dev and QA teams.
• Automation and Scripting: Create and manage automation scripts using Python, Bash, or similar scripting languages.
• Implement automated monitoring and alerting solutions.
• Create Automation scripts using Jenkins.
• Security and Compliance: Ensure the security and compliance of AWS environments by implementing best practices (IAM policies, security groups, VPC configurations, encryption).
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits.
• Ensure security and adherence to the release/change management process for production releases.
• Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development teams to understand application requirements, provide guidance, and support production environments, troubleshooting and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and performance.
• Monitoring and Optimization: Set up and maintain monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Datadog). Monitor EC2 instances and other AWS services for performance, availability, and cost-efficiency.
• Ensure high availability of systems (redundancy and failover mechanisms).
• Analyze and optimize system performance (load balancing, caching, database tuning).
• Document infrastructure, processes, and procedures for knowledge sharing and compliance.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 7+ years of DevOps or Cloud Engineering experience
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, CloudFormation, IAM)
• Proven experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation tools, and IaC (AWS CDK, AWS SAM, AWS CodePipeline, AWS CodeBuild)
• 3+ years of experience in Jenkins
• 2+ years of experience in Build Automation
• 3+ years of experience using GIT and artifact repositories
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash)
• Proficient with version control systems (Git) and containerization tools (Docker, ECR, ECS)
• Experience in monitoring, scaling, and optimizing EC2 instances and AWS services
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals (DNS, VPN, load balancing)
• AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent (highly desirable)
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly

Salary: $150,000-$170,000/year
