Full-Time Senior DevOps Engineer

Position: Senior DevOps Engineer

Location: ERIE, PA (On-Site)

Responsibilities:

• 8+ years' experience as a DevOps Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar position
• Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent
• Expertise in Linux and UNIX systems administration (Ubuntu, CentOS, Oracle Linux, etc.)
• Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, routing/switching, VLAN, VPN, SSL, SSH, packet inspection
• Experience in maintaining and securing SSL certificates
• Knowledgeable in cloud, server, application, and networking security best practices
• Proven experience working with AWS products such as EC2, RDS, ELB, VPC, IAM, S3, SQS, etc.
• Experience working with web servers such as Apache, Nginx, and Tomcat
• Working knowledge of database administration routines (MySQL, MS SQL, Oracle, etc.) including migrations, exports, and recoveries
• Exposure to scripting languages (bash, PHP, Python, etc.) used in process automation
• Proven experience with CI/CD infrastructure automation tools such as Jenkins, Packer, Ansible, and Terraform
• Experience in enforcing Infrastructure as Code methodology
• Experience with configuring and deploying monitoring and logging tools such as ELK, Pingdom, PagerDuty, CRON messages, log traces, etc.
• Experience supporting local virtualized environments and host OS's (MacOS, Windows, VirtualBox, Vagrant)
• Experience with Docker and containerization is preferred
• AWS certified candidates are preferred
