Position Requirements: We seek full-time, direct-hire candidates based in the UK (GMT), or long-term international contractors located in Austria, Spain, Poland, Ireland, Italy, or the Netherlands for this Senior DevOps Engineer role.
Summary: We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the transition to Kubernetes (K8s) and containerization while maintaining legacy VM-based infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, implementation, and scaling of Kubernetes clusters.
- Manage and maintain Linux VMs and server environments.
- Automate infrastructure management using Terraform, Ansible, and Helm.
- Troubleshoot and optimize both VMs and Kubernetes environments.
- Collaborate with software engineers for a smooth transition.
- Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both VM and Kubernetes applications.
- Monitor virtual infrastructure and participate in on-call rotation.
- Document infrastructure, architecture decisions, and processes.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years of DevOps, SRE, or Systems Engineering experience.
- IaC expertise with Terraform and Ansible.
- Strong Kubernetes and Docker experience.
- Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of Kubernetes concepts (Pods, Services, etc.).
- CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance.
- Helm experience for managing Kubernetes applications.
- Cloud computing proficiency with AWS and/or GCP.
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
