Full-Time Senior DevOps Engineer

Senior DevOps Engineer needed to help scale cloud infrastructure and platform services for Marco Polo, a video chat app.

Responsibilities:

• Build and operate software platform.
• Partner with client and backend teams for efficient deployments.
• Build and manage fault-tolerant, auto-scaling services.
• Design and operate distributed cloud infrastructure at petabyte scale.
• Maintain high site reliability through rapid issue triage, upgrades, on-call support, and proactive issue detection.
• Develop tools for diagnosing problems, automating tasks, and managing infrastructure.
• Implement best practices and mentor other team members.

Requirements:

• 5+ years experience in backend server development.
• Proficiency in high-level languages (Python & Go).
• Experience building and managing cloud infrastructure (compute, networking, access controls), preferably with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (AWS & Terraform).
• Experience running applications with container technologies (Docker & ECS).
• Familiarity with Linux command-line environments.
• Experience with key-value data stores (Redis).
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
• Solid foundation in computer science, data structures, algorithms, and software design.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and support multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.
