Full-Time Senior DevOps Engineer

Zippy is seeking a hands-on, technically strong Senior DevOps Engineer for a high-impact role. You'll be responsible for evolving systems supporting Zippy's digital lending platform for manufactured homes. This collaborative role involves infrastructure, deployment pipelines, security, and automation.

Responsibilities Include:

• Own and evolve infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and AWS.
• Enhance CI/CD processes, observability, and security.
• Maintain and improve Docker-based deployments, orchestration, and performance/availability.
• Develop and manage internal tooling and automation using Bash and scripting languages.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Business Technology, and Product teams for fast, safe deployments.
• Define DevOps best practices, documentation, processes, and procedures.
• Organize and document access controls, passwords, and infrastructure ownership.
• Serve as a technical expert on system architecture, security, data pipelines, and scalability.

Required Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years of DevOps, SRE, or similar experience
• Expert knowledge of Terraform and AWS (ECS, Fargate, FSx, RDS & Aurora Serverless)
• Experience working with and deploying Ruby on Rails applications
• Expert proficiency with Docker and container-based development environments
• Strong command-line and scripting experience (Bash)
• Proficient with GitHub, workflows, permissions, and automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, secure credentials, and SOC2 compliance
• Strong background in data infrastructure, performance, and pipelines
• Pragmatic builder, documentation-first mindset
• Comfortable working independently in a remote-first environment
