Full-Time Senior DevOps/Cloud Architect

We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with deep expertise in VMware Cloud Foundation to join our team. You will lead the architecture, deployment, and management of hybrid cloud environments primarily on VMware technologies. Familiarity with AWS is advantageous.

What you will do:

• Lead architecture and implementation of hybrid cloud solutions, focusing on VMware Cloud Foundation (vSphere, NSX, vSAN, vCenter, VMware Aria Suite).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, deploy, and manage hybrid cloud environments integrating on-prem and cloud workloads.
• Support cloud adoption and modernization strategies.
• Define and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, VMware Aria Automation Orchestrator, or CloudFormation.
• Establish and enforce security best practices, governance policies, and compliance controls.
• Monitor and optimize cloud resource utilization.
• Guide DevOps and development teams in leveraging cloud platforms effectively.
• Provide expert guidance and documentation for architecture decisions, standards, and operational procedures.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing.
• Support presale activities.

Qualifications and experience needed:

• 5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and operations.
• 3+ years of hands-on cloud architecture experience, focused on VMware Cloud Foundation.
• Strong Linux experience.
• Deep knowledge of vSphere, NSX, vSAN, vCenter, and VMware Aria Automation/Operations.
• Solid understanding of hybrid infrastructure patterns, networking, identity and access management, and multi-site setups.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, VMware Aria Automation, optionally CloudFormation).
• Experience with Configuration Management Engines (Puppet, Salt, Ansible/AWX/AAP, Chef, CFEngine) is a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern DevOps practices.
• Working knowledge of AWS services (EC2, IAM, S3, advanced networking) is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
• Familiarity with VMware Tanzu is a plus.
• Understanding of cloud security controls and data protection strategies.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Enterprise hardware hands-on experience is a plus.
• English level: B2 or higher.
