As a Senior DevSecOps Engineer, you will contribute to the overall design and direction of eCommerce Security Engineering. This role is responsible for building platforms and frameworks to create consistent, verifiable, and automate management of applications and infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance to a small team, defining tasks aligned with common goals, fostering professional development.
- Ensure direct engagement with product/software development and infrastructure teams to achieve security compliance.
- Identify and address data security issues, provide secure coding guidance, assess vulnerabilities, and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Provide security guidance on infrastructural designs and organize risk assessments.
- Automate software maintenance for CI/CD pipelines.
- Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions.
- Partner with software engineers and QA to automate operations.
- Stay up-to-date on DevSecOps trends and propose new solutions for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Minimum of four (4) years relevant experience in designing and building frameworks and tools.
- Experience in design and implementation of fully automated CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of IP networking, VPN's, DNS, load balancing and firewalls.
- Experience with monitoring and log aggregating frameworks.
- Experience implementing and designing cloud-native security concepts.
- AWS/Azure Certifications (preferred).
- Experience in systems automation, orchestration, deployment, and scaling distributed data systems.
- Hands-on experience with microservices and distributed application architecture (containers, Kubernetes, serverless).
- Ability to work with offshore teams.
Compensation: $93,000 CAD to $116,000 CAD (yearly).
