About the Position: The Senior Director of Energy reports to the Chief Energy Strategy Officer, with primary responsibilities focused on developing and executing Cologix’s energy strategy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Supports Chief Energy Strategy Officer in overall energy strategy development and execution.
- Develops innovative energy solutions.
- Develops strategic partnerships with utilities, OEMs, EPCs, and energy companies.
- Identifies electric industry organizations.
- Negotiates and executes power agreements.
- Evaluates and executes potential on-site power generation opportunities.
- Performs technology assessments and partner selections.
- Advises the executive team on energy industry trends.
- Supports the development of board presentations.
- Supports evaluation of potential land acquisition and M&A opportunities.
What makes you a good fit:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration or energy-related discipline with 8+ years of relevant experience.
- Broad network on utility, OEM, and EPC executive relationships.
- Experience negotiating complex energy contracts.
- Experience with utility rates, interconnection requirements.
- Experience with technology evaluation across renewables, gas, nuclear, storage, fuel cells.
- Demonstrable experience in long-term strategy development.
- Deep understanding of US and Canadian regulated and de-regulated energy markets.
- Ability to translate strategy into action.
- Proficient in developing executive and board-level presentations.
- Proficient in data and analytics.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in behind-the-meter generation and substation project development.
- Established presence in energy industry groups.
- Experience in Renewables Power Purchase Agreements.
- Experience evaluating land acquisition/M&A opportunities.

Salary Range: $190,000–$220,000 USD
