Bloomreach is looking for a Senior Director of Engineering for our Discovery AI-driven Search platform. Your work will impact e-commerce traffic in US/Europe markets, with customers across various verticals.

Challenge:
Lead a dynamic engineering team to enhance user experiences via advanced search, personalized recommendations, and data-driven insights. Focus on AI/machine learning for commerce search technologies. Manage system uptime and SLAs, meet aggressive development schedules.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team.
- Develop and execute the engineering product strategy.
- Oversee design, development, and deployment of scalable and reliable software systems.
- Ensure best practices in software development (code quality, testing, documentation).
- Manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product management, data science, operations).
- Optimize system architecture for performance, scalability, and security.
- Enhance search capabilities and data-driven decision-making.
- Integrate machine learning models into software products.
- Communicate effectively with executive leadership, stakeholders, and clients.
Experience and Qualities:
- 10+ years software engineering experience, 6+ years in leadership.
- SaaS, e-commerce, search technologies, data science, and machine learning experience.
- Proficiency in Java, Python.
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms (AWS and GCP).
- Big data technologies and frameworks.
- Machine learning/AI best practices.
- Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills.
- Experience leading high-performing technology teams.
