Full-Time BACKEND AND INFRA ENGINEER

About Us

We're an early-stage startup empowering small business owners through AI-driven solutions. We're building an MVP web application and need a backend and infrastructure engineer to help shape the product and infrastructure from the ground up.

What You'll Do

• Backend Development: Develop robust server-side logic (Python, Django), handle database design and management (PostgreSQL/SQL), and create RESTful APIs.
• Infrastructure & Scaling: Manage AWS deployments (EC2, RDS, S3), implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and plan for cost-effective and scalable solutions.
• Containerization & DevOps: Package and deploy services using Docker (Kubernetes), set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/GitLab CI), configure monitoring and alerting (CloudWatch, Prometheus).
• Front-End Collaboration: Work with React-based front-end components and ensure smooth API integration.
• Problem-Solving & Debugging: Identify and optimize performance bottlenecks, tackle technical challenges with scalable solutions.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the team, using version control (Git), and AI productivity tools.

Core Technical Skills

• Cloud & Infrastructure: AWS (EC2, S3, RDS), Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation), Basic AWS cost optimization
• Containerization & Orchestration: Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes
• CI/CD & DevOps: CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), Automated testing and deployment, Monitoring and alerting
• Database Skills (Critical): PostgreSQL administration, backups, performance tuning, read replicas
• Backend Development: Python (Django), RESTful API design (Django REST Framework)
