About This Role: We are seeking a Senior Director, Statistical Methodologist to advance innovative statistical methodologies within Research and Development.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Lead development & application of innovative statistical methodologies to improve research efficiency and decision-making.
- Provide strategic direction and support to internal scientific working groups focused on methods innovation.
- Collaborate with program team statisticians to apply adaptive designs to optimize study efficiency and outcomes.
- Contribute to AI/ML strategy within R&D and drive statistically sound applications.
- Develop and apply advanced multiple testing approaches for robust inference.
- Utilize causal inference techniques to generate evidence from various data sources.
- Mentor a team of statisticians and epidemiologists, fostering innovation and excellence.
- Communicate complex statistical concepts effectively to stakeholders.
- Represent the organization in cross-industry initiatives, influencing statistical practices.
Who You Are: A visionary leader passionate about statistical innovation and its application in drug development.
Required Skills:
- Ph.D. in Statistics, Biostatistics, or related field.
- Extensive experience in statistical methodology development.
- Proven track record of leading innovative projects.
- Expertise in adaptive designs, Bayesian/frequentist methods, statistical modeling, multiple testing, AI/ML, and causal inference.
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Experience influencing external stakeholders (regulators, HTA/payers).
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills (Optional):
- Experience in cross-industry collaborations
- Familiarity with hybrid designs, Bayesian extrapolation
- Demonstrated ability to mentor statistical teams
Compensation: $230,000 - $316,000 per year (Base)
