Full-Time Senior Engineering Lead

Very Good Ventures is a global consultancy that delivers elegant solutions using disruptive technologies. We're seeking a highly-skilled Senior Engineering Lead for hands-on client engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Client-Focused Engineering Execution: Build excellent software products, lead program estimations, ideate solutions, and resolve challenges.
• Drive Technical Excellence: Architect scalable Flutter applications, potentially cloud solutions, and document best practices.
• Consult & Advise Clients: Act as a senior advisor, guide technical decisions, and ensure successful project execution.
• Effective Partnership: Collaborate effectively with VGV colleagues across disciplines.
• Team Leadership & Growth: Lead engineering teams, provide coaching and feedback, maintain high-performance teams, and shape talent development.
• Business & Commercial Growth: Contribute to pre-sales efforts, technical discovery, and securing new projects.
• Shape Technical Strategy: Stay informed about industry trends, influence engineering practices, and contribute to open-source initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years software development experience, with strength in mobile (Flutter preferred) and full-stack development
• 4+ years in technical leadership, leading teams and mentoring engineers
• Experience in a consulting or client-facing role, advising stakeholders and navigating business challenges
• Pre-sales or business development exposure (e.g., technical proposals, discovery calls)
• Cloud expertise (e.g., Google Cloud, AWS) is preferred
• AI Engineering experience is appreciated.
• Strong communication skills (written & spoken English)

Compensation: $160k-$200k (annual base).
