Join Collibra’s Platform Infrastructure Team. We are looking for a seasoned Senior Engineering Manager to lead and scale a highly skilled team responsible for building, optimizing, and maintaining the infrastructure that powers both Collibra production and developer environments at scale.
As a Senior Engineering Manager, you will lead a diverse team, guiding them in building infrastructure that enables high availability, scalability, and efficiency while also providing tools and systems that enhance developer productivity. You will play a key role in shaping the technical direction, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
Senior Engineering Managers at Collibra are responsible for:
- Provide architectural leadership for large-scale, distributed systems.
- Drive the design, implementation, and ongoing optimization of our cloud-based infrastructure, focusing on containers (Kubernetes) and virtual machine environments.
- Leading the design and implementation of cloud networking solutions for production and development environments.
- Drive the adoption of GitOps practices across the infrastructure and development teams, using ArgoCD to automate Kubernetes application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
- Oversee the architecture and management of messaging and eventing systems (e.g., RabbitMQ, Pulsar).
You have:
- 7+ years of experience in engineering, with at least 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
- Proven expertise in managing large-scale, distributed infrastructure systems.
- Expertise in cloud networking, including VPCs, DNS, routing, security groups, VPNs, load balancing, and inter-cloud connectivity.
- Proficiency in infrastructure automation and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
- Experience with ArgoCD and GitOps principles for automating Kubernetes-based deployments and managing infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Deep experience with messaging and event-driven architectures.
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent related working experience is required.
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Because this role supports the US government, it is required that this candidate be a US citizen who resides on US soil.
You are:
- An excellent leader, with a track record of managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing engineering teams.
- A strong communicator, capable of presenting technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and making data-driven decisions.
- Highly motivated, result oriented and data driven person with a strong commitment to deliver.
- An advocate for the needs of developers.
- Collaborative with other engineering leaders to define long-term infrastructure strategy.
