AECOM is seeking a Senior NEPA Compliance Project Manager for their Environmental Planning Group. The role involves managing projects related to National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance, state-level reviews, and environmental permitting.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing NEPA projects
- Supervising staff
- Performing quality assurance and control
- Communicating effectively with clients and stakeholders
- Writing technical assessments related to NEPA compliance
- Leading and managing complex planning studies, development applications, and reviews
- Reviewing and processing plan amendments, rezoning, annexations, site plans, and plats
- Conducting research and preparing statistical reports on land use, physical, social, and economic issues
- Providing planning assistance to communities on land use and transportation projects
- Developing plans, studies, and analyses on a regional basis
- Working in regional program areas related to natural/water resources planning, community development, hazard mitigation, coastal zone management, and others
- Performing field inspections to gather data and verify development project compliance
- Conducting meetings and presenting reports to staff, advisory boards, and elected officials
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (environmental science, planning, economics, etc.) and 8+ years of NEPA experience, or demonstrated equivalency.
Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of experience, knowledge of federal environmental laws (NEPA, Clean Water Act, etc.), current issues related to federally administered lands, strong organization and time-management skills, experience with recreation, land use, or wilderness areas.
