Full-Time Senior Fire Engineer

Fire Engineer will be part of the Fire Engineering Team to serve as a technical consultant for fire safety, prevention, protection, and life safety.

Responsibilities

• Project Management: Manage fire safety and fire system design aspects of projects.
• Fire Safety Planning: Develop plans for evacuation, wayfinding, firefighting, fire-rated construction, escape widths, etc. using advanced methods like computer-aided hydraulic design, CFD analysis, and evacuation modeling.
• Design and Reporting: Write reports detailing rational designs that deviate from standard solutions. Assist junior engineers with designs and queries.
• Client Communication: Meet with clients, architects, and other team members. Consult with authorities on safety regulations and recommend deviations.
• System Design: Design fire detection, sprinkler systems, gas suppression, smoke control systems using advanced methods.
• Drawing Review: Review 2D and 3D drawings from our BIM team.
• Tender Documents: Prepare tender documents, specifications, and adjudication reports.
• Site Monitoring: Conduct site inspections and construction monitoring.
• Financial Management: Manage contracts, fee proposals, invoicing, and project financials.
• Management: Contribute to management responsibilities such as revenue forecasts, resource management, bidding, client liaison.
• Site Meetings: Attend site meetings and conduct site inspections.
• Health and Safety: Role model SHEQ performance, identify SHEQ risks, and drive processes to achieve Zero Harm. Maintain a safe work environment.

Requirements

• Education: Minimum BEng/BSc/BTech from an accredited university.
• Professional Registration: Professional Registration with ECSA (Pr. Eng. or Pr. Tech. Eng).
• Experience: 5-8 years’ experience in Fire Engineering.
• Industry Experience: Experience within Consulting Engineering Industry is advantageous.
• Transportation: Valid Code B driver's license and own transportation.
• Travel: Willing to travel nationally and internationally.
• Data Center Experience: Data center experience is advantageous.
• Skills: Computer aided design skills using Pyrosim, Pathfinder, Canute, etc.
