Full-Time Senior Golang Software Engineer

At QAD, we seek a passionate Senior Go Software Engineer to join our team in developing and maintaining the QAD Champion API Backend (Golang). This role will focus on AI use-cases for various QAD products.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop and enhance AI workflows for QAD applications.
• Complete sprint delivery tasks to meet business goals.
• Leverage cutting-edge AI technologies to maintain a competitive edge.
• Provide expert support during incidents to rapidly resolve customer issues.
• Engage in forums to explore ideas beyond sprint work and contribute to system improvement.
• Contribute to team and business goals.
• Write testable, maintainable code.

Required Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional experience
• Degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• Strong Go programming skills
• API contract management experience
• API-first design using OpenAPI Spec (OAS)
• PostgreSQL relational database design
• Transactional database access with sqlc and pgx
• Database migration experience (expand and contract)
• Writing observable, testable code using libraries like testify and mockgen
• Kafka message handling with Avro format
• CI/CD experience with GitHub Actions
• Trunk-Based Development and Continuous Delivery understanding
