Full-Time Senior Health Data Scientist

• Collaborate with health services researchers and business analysts.
• Develop solutions using high-level modeling and statistical analyses.
• Use SQL for data extraction, transformation, and management.
• Develop and test hypotheses, communicating findings to clients.
• Lead operational data requests and create ad-hoc queries.
• Work with Inovalon’s Enterprise Data Management teams to resolve data issues.
• Troubleshoot production-related issues.
• Assist with the evaluation of data analytic vendors and tools.

• 5+ years in healthcare or pharmaceutical industries with administrative claims data.
• Strong SQL programming skills and experience with statistical analysis tools (SAS, R, SPSS, etc.).
• Problem-solving, analytical reasoning, and decision-making skills.
• Understanding of database management tools (e.g., Hadoop, Hive).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of health care, health policy, and related issues.

• Master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, statistics, or related field.
