Full-Time Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for architecting, developing, and optimizing infrastructure, network, and other components supporting Backlight products. This role requires ownership of significant infrastructure development, ensuring scalability, performance, and security.

Collaborates closely with development teams, product managers, and security teams to deliver robust solutions in an agile environment, using GitHub for code and infrastructure as code management.

1. Develop and configure monitoring and deployment tools, including CI/CD pipeline tools.
2. Participate in daily maintenance of production, test, and staging environments.
3. Support backend issues, investigate customer problems.
4. Ensure cloud platforms run smoothly and are efficiently monitored.
5. Lead design, development, and maintenance of infrastructure systems using advanced technologies (GitOps, Infrastructure-As-Code).
6. Ensure high performance and availability of databases (SQL/NoSQL), with proactive optimization.
7. Participate in high-level architecture discussions and decision-making.
8. Balance efficient, maintainable code with effective review and QA processes.
9. Manage and maintain version control using Git and GitHub.
10. Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues promptly, minimizing disruption.
11. Stay updated on emerging DevOps technologies and best practices, proactively integrating improvements.
12. Participate in incident response processes and training exercises.
13. Mentor junior team members and contribute to strategic planning.

• Required Qualifications:
• Expert in cloud services (AWS, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of server-side programming languages (especially Python).
• Experience in database management (SQL/NoSQL).
• Proficient in agile methodologies and version control (Git/GitHub).
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proactive approach to development challenges.
• Experience in SaaS product development is highly advantageous.

Work Environment: Full-time, 40 hours per week, with remote flexibility (if not stated in contract).
