About the role
The Infrastructure team manages CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure (AWS), logging, monitoring, security, and the data platform (GCP). The team works closely with production engineering teams to provide infrastructure best practices.
Responsibilities
• Enable seamless deployments for development teams.
• Advise teams on infrastructure needs for new courses and projects.
• Manage shared resources supporting the microservice architecture.
• Build and maintain internal services for development operations.
• Prioritize self-service solutions and automation for deployment, infrastructure provisioning, cost control, and security.
• Support other teams without becoming a bottleneck.
• Plan and implement infrastructure improvements.
• Manage daily infrastructure responsibilities.
• Deploy and manage DataCamp Platform workloads on EKS (Kubernetes) using Istio and self-service pipelines.
• Provision infrastructure using Terraform.
• Manage the Kong API Gateway.
• Support the Data Platform (BigQuery) with data pipelines managed by Airflow.
• Manage the Learn Multiplexer product.
Qualifications
• 2+ years administering/maintaining infrastructure tools (AWS, Docker, K8s)
• 2+ years development experience (TypeScript, Python)
• 2+ years advising on/implementing deployment pipelines (CI/CD)
• 2+ years security tooling experience
• Experience with Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible)
• Excellent communication skills
• Interest in scaling complex systems and monitoring self-healing systems
• Organized, flexible, and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to conduct code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation.
• Collaborative team player.
Nice to haves
• Understanding of data engineering principles
• API-gateway or service mesh experience (Kong, Istio)
