About the role: We're looking for a seasoned Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our Infrastructure Team. This role focuses on creating a sustainable platform for effective, reliable, and scalable systems. Collaborate with service engineering teams to automate processes and ensure optimal performance on AWS and GCP cloud infrastructure.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient infrastructure, optimizing performance, resilience, and cost.
- Ensure infrastructure aligns with business requirements and industry standards.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Terraform.
- Improve system reliability and reduce downtime through SRE principles.
- Enhance developer workflows, creating self-service tools, optimizing CI/CD pipelines, and streamlining deployment.
- Develop and maintain robust monitoring and alerting systems to proactively resolve issues.
- Lead incident responses, manage on-call rotations, and facilitate post-incident reviews for continuous improvement.
- Automate everything, driving Infrastructure as Code (IaC) adoption and automated pipelines for testing, monitoring, and deployments.
- Provide clear communications on changes impacting teams.
Key qualifications: Proven experience in building, scaling, and monitoring cloud infrastructure on AWS (EKS, S3, RDS, API Gateway, Load Balancers, VPC, Lambdas, DocumentDB, DynamoDB), experience with Terraform, containerized applications, Kubernetes, microservice deployments, GitHub Actions, and CI/CD best practices. Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools (Datadog preferred), networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, VPNs), and strong collaboration and communication skills. Experience coding/reading in languages like Java, Python, or TypeScript is a plus. Minimum 5 years of cloud infrastructure experience.
