QuickNode is a cloud-based infrastructure company powering the blockchain ecosystem.
The Role: As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you'll architect, develop, and implement core infrastructure platforms across various clouds, focusing on traditional datacenter technologies. You'll emphasize automation and documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Research, architect, and deploy complex infrastructure systems (bare-metal servers, hypervisors, orchestrators).
- Support development of standards, processes, and policies for infrastructure technologies (network, compute, storage).
- Develop automation using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management.
- Create comprehensive support documentation and architecture diagrams.
- Collaborate with Technical Operations and Support teams.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years in a Senior Systems Administration or similar role.
- Deep understanding of Linux/Unix systems and private/public cloud technologies.
- Experience deploying and managing hypervisors, bare-metal servers.
- Knowledge of infrastructure and application availability, scalability, high-availability, fault tolerance, disaster recovery, and cost optimization.
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL database technologies (Postgres, ScyllaDB) is a plus.
- Proficiency in automation and configuration management tools (CI/CD, Ansible, Terraform, Consul).
- Familiarity with observability tools (Elk, Grafana, Victoria Metrics) and programming languages (Python, Go, JavaScript).
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Compensation: $173,052 - $192,280 USD per year (Level P4).
